The tracking process all starts with a list of names, addresses, claim numbers, and refund amounts.This list becomes available
to independent processors after HUD or FHA is not able to contact the people they owe money to. This list consists merely
of a name, address, claim number, and refund amount.
This is where you come in. Without you we would not be able to prove to HUD or FHA that you are really the person they
owe money to. A form known as a Found Case Form is necessary because only HUD or FHA and the actual buyer would know when
the mortgage was paid off and when the title was acquired. In some cases where the purchased property was sold, HUD or FHA
would also need to know the date of sale.
